Primary versus Secondary Tracheoesophageal Puncture: Benefits for the Patient, Professional and Healthcare System

Tracheoesophageal puncture (TEP) represents the "gold standard" for voice restoration following total laryngectomy. TEP can be undertaken either primarily during the initial surgery or as a separate secondary procedure. However, there is currently no consensus on which approach is superior.

Join us for an engaging on-demand webinar with leading experts in the field of laryngectomy. Our panelists will share insights into their decision-making process regarding when to perform primary versus secondary TEP, highlighting the clinical evidence and respective advantages and disadvantages of each approach.

Learning objectives:

  • Learn about the benefits and complications associated with primary and secondary TEP
  • Engage with expert panelists in a live Q&A to gather insights into real-world decision-making on when to perform a TEP

Agenda:

0-5 min: Welcome and introductions
5-30 min: Overview of the benefits and complications associated with primary and secondary tracheoesophageal puncture
