Evidence and Experience webinar series: Post-laryngectomy pulmonary and related symptom changes following adoption of an optimal day-and-night heat and moisture exchanger (HME) regimen

Join a webinar focused on a newly published clinical study presented by the investigator, Elizabeth Ward, PhD. You can join one of two live sessions with exclusive opportunity to ask the investigator questions. The objective of this webinar is to present and discuss new evidence on using an optimal day-and-night regimen. This new study examined changes to post-laryngectomy pulmonary health and related symptoms following establishment of an optimal Day & Night regimen.

Principal investigator Elizabeth Ward, Centre for Functioning and Health Research, Metro South Health, Brisbane, Australia, will present the results of this evidence and discuss the clinical implications for patients.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the role of Heat and Moisture Exchangers (HMEs) and the importance of pulmonary optimization for patients post total laryngectomy surgery
  • Recognize the Provox Life range and the differences from existing HMEs
  • Understand the pulmonary and other clinical outcomes achieved through establishing an optimal Day and Night HME regimen using Provox Life range of HMEs

Timed agenda
0:00 - 0.:05 – Introduction and disclosures
0.:05 - 0.30 – Presentation of Ward et al (2023) Provox Life study findings
0:30 – 1:00 – Question and Answer with Prof Ward and co-authors from the clinical trial

Title of the study
